The Yocan Evolve Plus XL is everything you could dream of. It is one of, if not the best, dab vape pen on the market. Sporting a quad coil quartz atomizer, the pen can deliver four times the surface area clouds that will make most competitors jealous.

Yocan Evolve Plus XL — The Basics
As we’ve mentioned earlier, the Evolve Plus XL is the latest wax pen from Yocan. It was designed as a successor to the Evolve Plus and is considered to be an upgrade over the previous product but it is not a full-blown substitute.
It was also a good fit for those of you who didn’t want to be an early adopter of the original model as the updated model addresses everything the original had.
Design and Features
If you look at the best vape pen for wax, you will immediately notice that all of them have a tiny battery. But this is not the case with Evolve Plus XL as it sports a whopping 1400 mAh battery that can be charged using a standard micro USB cable.
Also, as part of the battery department, there is a magnetic joint between the battery and the mouthpiece. Thanks to this positioning, it makes it easy to reload the device as taking it off requires no effort whatsoever.
Another point about the device is the adjustable airflow. With it, you can regulate the intake and technically airflow. Essentially, you have full control over the hit intensity.
The bottom of the device is practically the same as in the OG mode, it is a concentrates storage. The only exception, however, is the fact that the whole jar can be taken off where you can find two more compartments.
The most crucial part of all dab pens for wax is, of course, the coil inside. The device employs a quad quartz coil combination that allows for enormous clouds.
Some of you might prefer a ceramic donut setup but the company made it clear that as of now, they don’t have any plans for that. But don’t discard the device just yet. The hits are great, and the clouds are massive, to say the least.
Usability
Loading with concentrate the vape pen can prove to be tricky but outside of that, there’s nothing difficult about it.
Returning to the loading process, you have two options, one where you put the big glob of shatter in the center (which is the right way to do it), and the second where you can put a few small balls on the coils (the suboptimal way).
To fire-up the device, you simply press the power button and you are good to go. The device is also lightweight and quite comfortable to hold in hand.
The body itself is sturdy but not bulky meaning that you carry it just about anywhere you like comfortably. The taste is pretty rich and the vapor is dense and retains the scent of the material, which is great.
Performance
As we already said, the thing can produce some amazing clouds but at a small price, it can hit your pretty hot. Since the coils get hot fast, the hits are flavor-rich. But we suggest that you monitor the temperature as you don’t want to waste your oil.
Ceramic donut lovers will most likely load smaller amounts but to maintain the taste, we suggest that you do the exact opposite.
Load the device with more oil and we guarantee that you will avoid the burnt taste, as well as you won’t waste oil since everything will be vaporized much slower.
As for the clouds themselves, we were fairly impressed. The hits are tough as nails, and the size of each puff was simply stunning. For the size, the device does a phenomenal job and is perhaps the best in class.

Outside of the fact that the hits can get hot, this is a superb combination of price and performance. Thanks to the 4-coil system and the built-in jar, the device has everything it needs to deliver the best vaping experience. Even if you like ceramic donut coils, this is a solid offering worth your attention.
