It’s 1977, and there is no GPS to guide our 21-year-old flower child, Julie, toward salvation. So how does she get there? She takes a dark, loud, and scary joyride through one hairy obstacle course after another, barely escaping from the grips of the Svengalis and the Warlocks she attracts unwittingly. And, because Julie’s vulnerable, yearning spirit has touched us, we travel behind her kaleidoscope eyes from Key West to New Orleans and on to a frantic cross-country bicycle trip pedaling from the bowels of Minnesota into the gaping jaws of purgatory, Manhattan. Fortunately, Julie doesn’t abandon us there. No. No. No. She takes us in her tender, loving arms and carries us to Woodstock where she finds her own unique, exotic salvation living among squirrels, ducks, a few goats, and a pony. Don’t miss this joyride to Joy Road .
