The appropriately named Vaporesso PodStick is a pod system vape that promises to deliver what others are only set to dream. On paper, the pod vape packs quite a punch when it comes to power and features a really comfortable form factor.
But how do all these specs stack up in real life and what can a core vaper expect from it? Is it really the be-all-end-all solution, or does it fall short next to its competition? Find out in our review!

Design Philosophy and Quality of Materials
Now, one of the few things that stick out immediately after you open the box is the design. Like in true Vaporesso fashion, the pod mod vape is simply a joy to hold in hand.
The quality of materials is top-notch and the weight is absolutely amazing (only 43 grams). The aluminum chassis is quite durable and the plastic pods make it easily transferable.
Overall, the pod mod feels high-quality and quite sturdy which leads us to the design. And a design it has. The paint job is very modern and the paint itself doesn’t look like it will chip over time.
All the main elements are in bronze color (this includes the branding and the main button), which fits the overall aesthetics.
The Pods
As we’ve already mentioned, the entire pod system is made of plastic. Out of the box, you will get two pods with a non-removable drip tip (which is also made of plastic). At first, we thought the bore used the same pods.
However, that is not the case as the MTL variant has an added layer of plastic. The device has a push-to-fill mechanism, making it less of a threat for kids, but that also means that filling it fully can be a messy process.
The MESHED 0.6-ohm wicked pretty easy but if we were you, we wouldn’t bother chaining it with anything over 50/50 on the 1.3-ohm ceramic coil. If you enjoy high VG juices, it’s best that you stick to the airier draw on the 0.6-ohm pod.
As for the coils themselves, we’ve refilled the mesh coil somewhere between 5 to 6 times and we haven’t noticed any performance drops.
Performance Profile
The pod sports a mini Omni board that promises rapid firing and a host of protection mechanisms. And frankly, it delivers on the promises. The device is capable of delivering hot vape but the chassis won’t burn your hand and it will certainly not warm you in winter; it is of the right temperature.
As for the vapor, you won’t be winning any competitions with it, but you can use it to produce huge clouds. In fact, this a perfect device for novice vapers or for those of you who want a happy medium of good performance and functional design.
Looking at the taste, thankfully, there’s not much we can discuss. The hit was okay, the original flavor was retained, and overall, it was a very enjoyable session. Generally, the PodStick worked quite well on all fronts and we had a hard time nitpicking.
You just get a solid device capable of delivering tasty stuff. No compromises and no special features, which is what we liked the most. Besides, both MTL and DL crowds will feel right at home with this gadget!
Charge Time & Battery Life
One of the best things about PodStick is the fact that it takes less than an hour to fully charge the device. The included charger is a standard 5W one and frankly, this is your best option as the device does not support variable charging.
The included 900 mAh battery is also not too shabby. It lasted us for around two full fills on the default settings, which is great, especially for the size. If used with an MTL pod, the gadget would probably last you for a whole day.
Returning back to the USB charger, the port, in which you plug the cord, is located on the bottom of the device. This is perfect as it allows you to use the device while it charges (thanks to the included pass-through functionality).
However, the bad news is that it can only be charged when it’s on the side. The battery indicator is pretty spot-on too. You will always have a good idea of how much battery juice is there.
Final Notes
Vopresso PodStick is pretty great for what it is. Aiming to satisfy both MTL and DL crowds can be a tough challenge but thankfully, the gadget manages to deliver.
There are a few shortcomings, such as lack of performance, but putting that aside, we find it hard not to recommend it, especially for beginners.
