A brand new pod mod under review is Swag PX80, the third device in the Vaporesso’s Swag series.

Introducing Swag PX80
Vaporesso’s Swag is one of those products that is often updated with new versions. Naturally, the latest version not only has all the specifications that other sets have, but also some pretty new innovative features from the manufacturer.
Swag PX80 is a pretty straightforward Mod + Tank combo, having a single 18650 battery with a lot of new technologies.
Swag PX80 Frame and Body
The PX80 frame is a standard Zinc alloy and is quite light. It has an artificial carbon fiber cover on one side and a stylish leather insert on another side. There are a few other small stylistic touches, such as the angular details on the leather side, which makes it look even better.
The size of PX80 is small, just 75 x 46 x 25 mm, which makes it a comfortable device with a good fit to the palm. The surface is very pleasant to the touch, especially the soft leather that adds the pod a more expensive look.
At the top is the battery cap, right opposite the Pod Tank compartment.
There is a Cyclops-style air gap on each side of the POD cavity that is perfect to create airflow adjustment.
Along one of the edges, you will see a fire button. Up and Down buttons are located just below it, as well as a USB port.
By removing the screen and placing it behind carbon fiber, Vaporesso managed to make PX80 more ergonomic.
PODs & Coils
Vaporesso introduced Swag PX80 with unique features that the users have never seen before!
The POD is completely transparent, so the users can easily see the liquid level. The manufacturer made the drip tip non-removable to prevent leakage. However, certain users like to use their drip tips and this non-removable feature will be a disadvantage for them then.
Vaporesso has also introduced a new technology of pushing the coil. They have made a very smart air chamber to limit leaks. The two above-mentioned features are the main technologies used for Swag PX80’s leakage protection.
There are two airflow holes, which are paralleled with the slots in the body of the pod, so the users can adjust the airflow by simply rotating the POD in the desired direction. Three rings on the coil separate the outer part of the POD, the air chamber, and the liquid chamber.
Another brilliant decision by Vaporesso was to make new coil-removal technology. If you need the coil to come out, just turn the drip tip to the open position, press it down, and the coil will also come out. The reverse will put the coil back. Then re-lock the tip by rotating it to ensure that the coil won’t accidentally come out.
Vaporesso made this operation easy and mess-free. When removing the coil, a special sleeve slides down to cover the liquid inputs, allowing the coil to be removed without the mess users usually experience.
Swag PX80 set includes2 GTX coils. They are both DTL coils with sufficiently low resistance.
- GTX 0.2ohm Mesh Coil (45-60 w) is your stronger coil and the manufacturer recommends using it at about 60 Watts. This coil runs pretty hot, and the drip tip becomes warm. Although it produces a pleasant smell, I found that it is simply not as dense as I would like, compared to other devices at 60 Watts.
- GTX 0.3ohm Mesh Coil (32-45 w) is a medium-range coil, which gives off a delicious taste. However, same as the previous coil, this one doesn’t achieve as a rich feel as I’d like, but closing the airflow helps a bit.
Airflow
Vaporesso has a fairly simple adjustable airflow in the PX80. To adjust it all you have to do is turn the POD around.
Battery
The power of the Swag PX80 comes from an external 18650 battery. The screw cap is well made and the threads are very smooth so you can screw it in gently without effort. The PX80 is also equipped with a USB Type-C connector for charging up to 2 amps.
Leakage
Unfortunately, during the trial period, I had some seepage. I tried to pinpoint exactly where it was coming from, but I haven’t found any leakage from the airflow holes. Meaning, it was either from there and I couldn’t see it, or from the seal between the plastic and the chrome base.
How to use it
Swag PX80 has a pretty attractive color display hidden behind carbon fiber. The menu system is very user-friendly.
- 5 presses on the fire button turn on and turn off the device
- press the + and – buttons simultaneously enters the menu
- 3 presses on the fire button locks
- The menu system is available in green, blue, and pink.
Advantages:

Conclusion
I’m very impressed with Swag PX80. Vaporesso chose a great adventure, including POD, and not a traditional tank, but I think it will pay off. The new way of coil removal, airflow control, and a separate air chamber are all innovative technologies, and Vaporesso has incorporated them very well into the Swag Project.
My favorite thing in Swag PX80 is the hidden display. It works very well and helps not to clutter up the overall aesthetics of the visible display.
Overall I think Swag PX80 is enjoyable to use.
