The NOVO 4 is the newest Mouth to Lung pod system from SMOK, a well-known vape manufacturer. It is a contemporary vape kit with a variety of features. It has an adjustable wattage range of 5-25W and is powered by an inbuilt 800mAh rechargeable battery. Design and Build Quality
The SMOK NOVO 4 pod system is tiny and compact. It is a tiny kit that fits snugly in your small jeans pocket, measuring 93.5mm by 26.5mm by 17.7mm. The SMOK Novo 4 comes in a range of bright colors. My review version is the cyan pink cobra, which looks fantastic. It is quite pleasant to grip and has a great lightweight due to its robust zinc-alloy chassis.
The Smok Novo 4 maintains the same form as the preceding Novo series. It has a rounded edge that fits the palm well. It has a rectangular button on the bottom of the gadget that is clearly visible. This Novo 4 has an one button operation. You can switch the gadget on/off by pressing the fire button 5 times, and you can change the wattage by pressing it 2/3 times. It includes a small OLED display above the fire button that clearly indicates the current wattage, resistance, battery level with %, and puff counts.
To control the airflow, the Smok Novo 4 uses an airflow dial. The pod fits snugly and firmly to the device. It has a basic oval pod port with positive and negative terminals on the inside, as well as a hole for the draw activation sensor.
Pod
The Smok Novo 4 pod can store 2ml of vape juice. To avoid leakage, three silicone rings are used. When the coil is put into the pod, the silicone ring on the bottom of the coil fills the gap, thereby preventing liquid from escaping from the pod and resulting in a messy vaping experience or a filthy hand.
It has a practical side-fill design. On one side of the pod, a tiny fill hole is neatly positioned and covered with a rubber/silicone bung. When the pod is removed, the e-liquid level is clearly seen. The mouthpiece is pleasant to use and has a transparent black finish.
How to Fill an E-Liquid Bottle
- Pull back the rubber stopper on the pod to open the slot.
- Inject up to 2ml of e-liquid into the slot and gently and firmly press the rubber stopper back.
- Firmly insert the pod into the Novo4 device.
- Wait at least 2-3 minutes before vaping.
Performance
The coil has two 0.8ohm LP1 mesh coils. This coil was tested with the Riot Squad Punx Blackcurrant & Watermelon Nic Salt. It had a decent flavor with a sweet sensation at the back of the throat at 9w. It also produces a large amount of vapors. At 12w, it performs best. Its beautiful and smooth vapour production has wowed me. The flavor is actually quite good. You may use a limited DTL to pull the airflow while it is completely open. With the airflow completely shut off, it produces a very tight draw.
Charging and Battery
The Smok Novo 4 is powered by an 800mAh battery, which is plenty for such a little gadget. It may be charged through a type-c connection at a rate of 0.74A. It takes approximately an hour to completely charge and has a battery life of roughly 14 hours.
