You stride the street shining in the glamor of the truly royal newcomer from SMOK. The name SMOK TFV12 Cloud Beast King promises the maximum performance, and your narcissism is justified: this sub-ohm tank is phenomenal.
The ones who survived the horror story with the Cube II X with its loose battery cover and other stains can breath out, the new SMOK Cloud Beast King reaches the dizzy heights.
What’s in the TFV12 box?
Unpacking it reminded the Christmas morning. So what’s in there, Santa? Granted, SMOK avoids cutting edges and generously supplies you with a bunch of spare parts:
– a V12-T12 12-coil atomizer (0.12 ohm), and this one doesn’t come alone, as you also get
– a V12-X4 4-coil atomizer with the resistance of 0.15 ohm, and
– a V12-Q4 4-coil atomizer (0.15 ohm), and
– a spare glass tube, and
– a manual, and
– some other spare parts.
Getting started
We shall start the SMOK TFV12 review with the best features. The SMOK TFV12 Cloud Beast King tank impresses: the height is about 70 mm and other parts are enormous as well. The atomizer base reaches 25 mm, and the diameter of the glass tube is 27 mm. The top cap has a width of 28 mm.
Why are we telling this all? It’s because each part has different dimensions, and this may be misleading. No worries, the TFV12 Cloud Beast King was crafted with the attention to every detail, and all pieces fit each other flawlessly. The standard gold-plated 510 connector sits at the bottom of the tank. Unscrewing all threads impresses with the quality of build.
Now, a few words about TFV12 coils. The preinstalled V12-T12 coil sits in a chimney which houses six portholes. Nothing to add: the makers really thought of volcanos when creating Cloud Beast King.
The stainless steel vapor shaft sits under the Delrin mouthpiece. You can easily remove and put the top cap by sliding it off and pushing back.
The pre-installed V12-T12 coil looks like an old .38 revolver, with a bullet lot. In fact, these are the six chambers in the upper side and the same six chambers beneath. Altogether you have 12 chambers.
All that refers to that famous 12-coil atomizer, but there are two more, and they deserve some attention too. The V12-Q4 contains one coil with a parallel build, and this one is wide. This is what we know about the pre-included contents for SMOK TFV12, but we haven’t mentioned the RBA edition yet! That one offers V12-T12 atomizers and rebuildable decks.
And now, let’s give the glory to the king! 350W. What can you do with 350W offered with V12-T12? This is the wattage of the average laptop, and this is enough to produce a vapor stream that can reach your neighbor’s house. And it’s enough to make them call 911.
If seriously, all you get with TFV12 tank 12-coil atomizer is paramount clouds of vapor produced with no effort. The only unfortunate thing about all this great vapor is a loss of flavor. If you seek for the taste, you can easily switch to V12-X4 or Q4: they still give you great clouds and much greater flavor.
Our best-case scenario was using the two quadruple SMOK TFV12 coils at the wattage range of 90-160W. That maintained the sustainable amount of vapor while preserving all the flavor.
The Benefits and Downsides of the TFV12
What we really like about the Cloud Beast King tank was Cloud Beast King coils. In fact, they do cover all the needs. It is a simple, yet effective solution to make either clouds or flavor chasers search no more. Another merit was audacity. They have the 12-coil atomizer after all! The last, but not the least of the benefits was power.
The fact that a tank can handle 350W was like a legend come true. Not each of seasoned vapers has mods to produce 200W to try all that power out, and that is at the same time the downside. Is such a wattage range is a good fit for an average vaper?
To conclude with…
To complete our TFV12 review, we should say that this tank has something for everyone. The well-crafted details and the build will be to the taste of a quality connoisseur, the quadruple coils will retain all shades of flavor, and the beastly huge 12-coil legend is not just an atomizer, it’s a challenge. Perhaps, each self-respected vaper should try TFV12 once in a life.
