How it Works
The device is pretty straightforward in its design and is quite simple to use. The main body is practically the 650 mAh battery with a single button. On top of the dab pen, you have a 510 thread, which is used for attaching an atomizer and for charging purposes.
The atomizer provides two options. A single quartz coil for denser waxes and concentrates and an e-liquid tank that you can fill from the top. Once you attach the atomizer, there is a decorative cover that slides from the top.
As for using the device, all you have to do is press the main button (not that there are any other) five times to power it on. And to take a draw, simply hold the button while doing so.
Heat Flexibility
This is where the main disappointment stems, the battery doesn’t have a heat flexibility mode. It either works or doesn’t but it doesn’t mean it should be able to offer any temperature flexibility.
The oil tank packs a 1.2-ohm resistance whereas the wax atomizer is 1 ohm. This is actually pretty good as it isn’t too tight nor is it too easy. The power draw is dynamic and it is adjusted automatically based on the charge level.
Plus, the heating process is instant, and the wax pen comes equipped with an auto-shutdown system.
Vapor Quality
Considering the size and the battery capacity, the device delivered a pretty decent result. Some might say that it lacks the punch but when you take into consideration the form factor, it’s hard to complain.
When we loaded the system with wax, we had light draws (but not too light) and great flavor, which is what we expected from Yocan.
The wax vape pen is single-coil and pumping up a lot of material just isn’t feasible. What it means is that you will always have a manageable hit level.
As for oils, it is on par with every other oil pen. This means that the quality will be based solely on the quality of the material. As for the tank itself, it’s a finely made piece of equipment. No questions here.
Manufacturing Quality
What we like the most about the device is that it doesn’t go above and beyond regarding design. There’s simply nothing wrong or special about it and this is exactly what we wanted from this gadget.
The overall build quality is great and it won’t break or leak in your bag. 650mAh battery provides a decently long vape time and charges pretty fast whereas the option to use two atomizers is a welcome addition. Plus, the device itself is ultra-light and portable.
Ease of Use
This concentrate vape pen is a perfect fit for beginners as it is very easy to use. To load the tank, all you need to do is unscrew the top mouthpiece from the base and fill in the contents.
As for wax, you need to get over to the quartz coil by removing the atomizer tube that is on top of it. And that’s pretty much it. No need to play with switches or worry about the magnet not being firmly shut.
Discreteness
Since the device is ultra-portable, it also means that it is super small. It can easily fit into one hand and trust us, you won’t have any issues keeping it enclosed as it is quite short too.
The device has a single coil set up, which also means that you won’t have a lot of vape to puff. And if you want to take things to the next level, just use it with an oil base setup.

The device is a perfect match for people who just got into vaping and don’t know where to start. The Yocan Evolve C offers good vaping experience and won’t be too harsh on newcomers since it is very easy to use.
Plus, there’s the pricing; it’s an affordable option. The only downside of this dab vape pen is that if you choose to go with oils, you might want to upgrade soon as the lack of voltage-control means you’ll have the same hit over and over.
