Mango
Mango was the first flavor we’ve used and you know what, this is perhaps the first time something flavored tasted so realistic. They are not too sweet and have the freshness of a real mango.
We were very impressed with the results and recommend you give this one a try, you won’t be disappointed.
Mint
Now, this flavor is very easy to make and break since it doesn’t have to replicate much. Suffice to say, the results are a mixed bag. On the one hand, you get the mint taste; on the other hand, it could have been less bland and have more notes to it.
What we mean is once you inhale, you get that mint flavor but as soon as you exhale, it kinda vents and you’re left with a cooling effect. Not the best mint flavor.
Cinnamon Roll
Now, this flavor is definitely something else because you don’t see it very often. We had low expectations tasting Cinnamon Roll but after the first take, we were very surprised.
It not only tasted like the real deal but even had that sweet pastry and sugary hints. Very impressive stuff.
Spearmint
We’d like to get this out of the way. It is basically the same as the old Mint option we’ve mentioned above. Looks like they have trouble doing minty stuff. It tastes like chewing gum and that’s pretty much it.
We didn’t enjoy it as we were expecting at least some variation in notes and aftertastes. Whether you buy Mint or Spearmint, you will get the exact same result.
Grape
And the last one we’ve got to taste was Grape. And you know what, just like their Mango option, this one is very good. Although it doesn’t taste like a real grape, it comes very close.
The smell of it is also good and the aftertaste is pretty spot-on. If you like grape candy, give this one a shot, it’s pretty good.
How do Ziip Pods Work?
Alright, now that we’ve covered the flavors, let’s take a look at how they work and what they look like. if you take a look at the JUUL pods and at the Ziip pods, you won’t notice a thing unless you try really hard.
Just like JUUL products, Ziip pods fit naturally into the battery and even have the click sound to it.
The mouthpiece is a tad more different and the pods themselves are rounded at the top, which frankly, makes them more ergonomic. However, even though the pods look the same, temperature control is prohibited, meaning that you might end up getting burnt hits.
It’s also worth stressing that they dry faster than standard JUUL products, although this is compensated by the larger amount.
Now let’s get to the more interesting bits. One of the key advantages Ziip pods have over its older brother is that they don’t leak whatsoever.
And the performance is also great, even though they don’t have temperature control. You do get occasional dry hits but nothing in the realm of bad or and not even near to unbearable.
